The Buzz on the Fellows Program
“I really enjoyed the opportunities we had to meet with senior executives (such as Chairman and Founder Jack Martin and CEO and President Dan Bartlett).... Hearing from these decision makers - and learning about why the firm does certain things - helps us put the work we do on a daily basis into a much larger perspective."
— Nathan Seitzman, Fellow, Austin, TX, Spring and Summer 2010
“I would definitely recommend the PSI Fellowship program to my peers. I can only speak for the Corporate Partnership aspect, but I feel that it gives fellows the opportunity to see the inner workings of the company. I learned an incredible amount, not only about my specific team's client, but also strategies to garner public support.”
— Ezinne Okpo, Fellow, Dallas, TX, Summer 2010
Public Strategies is currently accepting candidates' resumes for full-time and part-time fellowships for the spring 2013 session.
PSI fellowships offer a unique opportunity for students to learn more about public affairs, crisis and reputation management, and corporate communications campaigns through a hands-on fellowship. Fellows will play a critical role in client work as well as internal projects that consist of heavy research and writing. Candidates are preferably in their junior or senior year of college, recent college graduates, or in graduate/law school.
Applicants should have advanced writing, research, and organizational skills and be motivated, fast learners, preferably with an interest in government, politics, or corporate strategy. Knowledge and experience writing in Associated Press (AP) Style is required. Potential fellow candidates should also have a strong academic background, be able to manage multiple projects at a time and maintain a professional and positive attitude to learn and participate in client-related projects.
